Boat building industry in Kuala Terengganu is sinking within years, this center was proposed to promote the boat building tradition/culture of Terengganu. It serve to commemrating the uniqueness and expertise of craftmanship  of “Tukang Timbal” the boat builders, also glorious era of Terengganu after the second world war.

This center provided few programmes which related to boat building  help revitalize the industry and ensure that the skills can be passed on to the next generation.
